Mon 30th October, 2006 11:51 » What the fuck

So while sleeping last night I was woken up by two loud explosions, but I figured it had just been a dream (like the ones where you wake up suddenly and sit straight up in bed). I look out the window today and see there’s two burnt cars right outside my window. Nothing about it in the newspapers or anything, so I have no idea what happened.

Exciting! Nothing ever happens around here.

Just came home from the Bruce Springsteen concert. 2h 30m of pure ownage. I don’t really know what to write to express my feelings properly, so I’ll just leave it at that.

It’s the first concert in my life where I’ve had seated tickets. I originally wanted to find some standing tickets, but seeing as the concert had been sold out from the first hour of its release half a year ago or something, I was glad to just get any tickets at all. I had to pay ~190 euro for it.

I have to admit that it was nice to just sit back and relax, specially when it was such a long concert. I remember when I saw Iron Maiden in Göteborg last year, standing for 2hrs+, jumping up and down and sweating my ass off, I could barely move the day after.

Thu 19th October, 2006 05:32 » Battlestar Galactica

After hearing so much about Battlestar Galactica for years now, I decided I’d finally go check it out, though I’m fairly skeptic about it. So I downloaded the mini series that started it all, and I’m just about to go watch it.

I’m unsure what the verdict will be, specially considering my previous encounters:

  • Star Trek: TNG, THE series above all.
  • Firefly, utter crap.
  • Babylon 5, meh…
  • Red Dwarf, ownage.
  • Star Trek: DS9, no thanks.
  • Star Trek: Voyager, no words needed.

It’s been… Oh… 54 hours since I started watching the first episode of House. I’m now up to episode number 34. That’s about 23 hours worth of viewing. Needless to say, I’ve gotten somewhat addicted. It’s quickly grown to be one of my favorite series, perhaps only surpassed by Rescue Me. So thanks to Angstypants for introducing me to House <3.
