Met xtC yet again

xtC called yesterday and was wondering if he could come over like we talked about, and of course he could. Met him at the same meeting place as last time then we walked the short distance to my place. I let him use the computer so he could do his “daily stuff” that most of us computer addicts do each day; checking mail/messages, sites, irc, etc. He borrowed a couple of DVDs that I recommended to him and went home after about 2 hours. Now that I think about it, we didn’t talk too much, just some about his work that he got and laughing of BarTek’s IRC whining. I will most likely meet him again during the weekend, I’ve got a birthday tomorrow so I’ll probably go out with some friends on friday or saturday, and of course together with xtC if he wants to come. I should maybe try to be more talkative this time.

Started to read a lot about linux stuff lately, I’ll definitely convert my current computer to a linux server type thing after I get my new computer. Whenever that will be though, I just can’t seem to stop spending money so I can save up for it. Of what I’ve read so far, it also looks like there’s a big probability that I might use linux on my main computer as well. I can’t think of any program I’m currently using that I won’t be able to get an equivalent of in linux, only mIRC that I would need because of BattleBot, but I can run that in wine flawlessly it seems. Unless I find another IRC client for linux that is able to use mIRC script code. The thought of learning TCL and writing/converting the bot to an eggdrop script doesn’t really sound too enticing. So far, I’ve been thinking of installing either Mandrake, Debian or Ubunto, with Debian currently as a favorite. We’ll see how it turns out.
